NASW-CA New Professional Network (NPN) ~ Los Angeles

The New Professionals Network (NPN) is sponsored by NASW-California Chapter and targets new professionals in the Los Angeles area. This group is dedicated to actively engaging and supporting social work students and those who graduated from social work programs within the last seven years.
NPN will hold events and activities of interest to new professionals including but not limited to formal and informal networking events; classes on licensing, job search, and career advancement; community building; lobbying for social change; etc.
NPN Advisory Committee
The NPN Advisory Committee is comprised of current students and those who graduated from social work programs within the last seven years and serve to guide the NPN activities. The members include Rachel Gardner, MSW Student; David Moreno, MSW Student; Jill Gravois, MSW Student; Jezreel Supetran, MSW Student; Wilfred Lee, MSW, ASW; Julie Griffin, MSW; Esteban Juarez, MSW and Dustin Manhart, MSW.
NPN Upcoming Events
NPN is hosting a Cookies and Connections Networking Event on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 2pm-4pm at the Barbara and Ray Alpert Jewish Community Center in Long Beach. Come join social work students and new social work professionals to taste a variety of cookies and desserts. There will be networking activities and time to meet those working in specialty fields, such a mediation, aging, etc. View details and RSVP.
